Increase Throughput with Motion-Based Laser Power Control

To maximize throughput of laser processing systems, it is critical to control laser power as a function of speed. During straight motion segments, velocity is high. In corners, velocity may be reduced by a look-ahead algorithm to minimize following error and vibration. ACS motion control solutions provide flexible options for dynamically adjusting laser power relative to speed including 0-10V analog, PWM digital, and EtherCAT-based control.
